周日, 11月5日, 重点大学 will pay tribute to its legendary history in art education 和 appreciation while committing to an even more vibrant future in the arts by hosting ReImagining the Arts Celebration at the Theatre in Brooks.
The Celebration will honor 荣誉退休教授 卡尔·阿. Neuroth for his contributions over many decades in establishing 和 growing the art programs at Keystone while exp和ing art appreciation in Northeastern Pennsylvania 和 beyond. 我们也会承认名誉教授 克利夫顿一. h神 和 威廉J. Tersteeg for their efforts 和 assistance in those endeavors through their own excellence in their specific concentrations.
The Celebration will include the formal announcement of the creation of the 卡尔·阿. Neuroth Endowment for the Advancement of the Arts. 一旦确定, this endowment will support the art programs at Keystone as they are transformed by innovatively integrating these media 和 adding entrepreneurial coursework to enhance the student experience. The endowment will also support the newly created 克利夫顿一. 普罗科普艺术成就奖学金 和 威廉J. 特斯蒂格艺术成就奖学金, which will recognize excellence in the arts.

As we renew our commitment to the arts 和 reimagine the meaning of art to the current 和 future generation of college students 和 to the local community, it is most appropriate to recognize the individuals who shaped 和 nurtured the art program.

荣誉退休教授 卡尔·阿. Neuroth began teaching at Keystone in 1965 when a two-year associate degree program was launched. Mr. Neuroth was granted tenure in 1970 和 promoted to Professor in 1982. He was awarded the prestigious Chamberlin Chair for Distinguished Service in 1980 和 has also served as Coordinator of Exhibits, Dean of Enrollment Services 和 Chair of the Division of Fine Arts.
Mr. Neuroth received a master’s degree in art education from Temple University. 在Keystone工作期间, he has also been credited for advancing art appreciation beyond the campus to the entire community of Northeastern Pennsylvania. His works are in private collections throughout the country as well as on display in the Everhart Museum in Scranton. Mr. Neuroth retired from Keystone in 2005 after 40 years of service.

Mr. Tersteeg earned a master of fine arts degree from Southern Illinois University. He has been creating 雕塑 in clay for more than 40 years with his pieces reflecting environmental themes of Northeastern Pennsylvania. Mr. Tersteeg’s works have been included in many exhibits 和 invitational shows as well as in public collections throughout the country
